What is Waverly Main Street?

Waverly Main Street (WMS) is a lively business district along Greenmount Avenue between 28th and 35th Streets and side street blocks on both sides.

WMS plays an important role in GHCC’s mission to strengthen neighborhoods by applying the Main Street approach to promote economic development and community revitalization. The volunteer-driven program is facilitated with assistance from Baltimore Development Corporation in efforts to improve safety, sanitation and code enforcement, as well as funding and design services for building renovations in the Waverly downtown area.

A walk down Waverly Main Street reveals innovative building façade improvements, new signage, and exciting new businesses. Other entrepreneurs are working with WMS to locate suitable space for their venture and to explore funding options.

This Blog is here to keep you and the Greater Homewood Community updated on current and past events, as well as new improvments occuring throughout the Waverly Main Street Community.
